In this episode I returned again to Chatfield Reservoir, Kingfisher, following the previous session being ended by bad weather. The afternoons fishing was dominated by the crayfish eating every bait I cast out. Finally I switched over to a harder bait, the CC Moore Hi-Viz creamed tiger nuts, hoping these would withstand the crayfish longer. Within a few minutes, it was carp on and a mirror, then a common, were soon landed.
Colorado’s diverse wildlife never ceases to amaze. The session ended with me watching a black bear cub, swimming across the lake.
