In this weeks new episode of Carpquest. Ron and I get in a final session at the reservoir.
Fishing with friends has always been very important to me. For the past two years I have had the honor to hit waters with Ron Altman. I first met Ron through a GiveAway contest on FishExplorer, he won the prize for a day’s Carp Fishing with CarpQuest. Neither of us knew that we would still be fishing together years later after that first trip out. This session was to be our last together before Ron relocated to Florida with his family so we chose the venue where we had that first session, Chatfield Reservoir.
This was a challenging session, with poor weather, wind, thunderstorms in the area and high wind.
In our last session fishing together, we had landed a handful of common carp, a pair of 20 lb’ers and Ron had lost a couple, including one real screamer!
All told, it was a good day, though I am sure that Ron will be haunted by the “one that got away!”.
Hope you enjoy
