CarpQuest – CAG Colorado Challenge 2014 – Results
The CarpQuest CAG Colorado 2014 was an event that ran the duration of the year. The goal, to promote carp fishing and to anglers out on the bank, catching and releasing carp and then submitting them to the Colorado Parks & Wildlife for their Master Angler Awards.
The winner would be determined by the individual that catches the longest carp. The top 3 anglers would receive a medal from the Carp Anglers Group. The winner also receives a day of guided carp fishing, all euro style equipment and baits provided with CarpQuest and myself. We will film the session and publish it for the fans!
The RESULTS are in, and the WINNER is: JEREMY ROMERO.
Jeremy banked a fine 36.5″ common carp from Chatfield Reservoir. This was one of a dozen carp that Jeremy caught and submitted for the Master Angler Award program.
In 2nd Place, was James Hitchens with his 32.5″ common carp from Pikeview Reservoir. James actually caught this fish three times, over the course of the year, to the point where it is now nicknamed, “Jamie!”.
A very close 3rd Place, Ron Altman with his 32″ common carp from Adams County Fairgrounds. Ron banked a slew of carp from Adams County and this beast was his largest.
Congratulations to Jeremy and all the winners.
I will be in contact with all the winners to arrange for delivery of their medals.
I will also be contacting Jeremy to arrange for his trip out with me on “CarpQuest” this year.
Tight-Lines,
John
