CarpQuest – S2E3 – Pikeview Carp Fishing – Better with friends

CarpQuest is all about having fun and, most of all, fishing with friends.

Spring had begun and it was time for the “carping” crew here in Colorado to once again hit the banks together. Winter had not released her grasp yet Pikeview Reservoir had finally thawed. This venue was one of my favorite from previous years but always proved a challenge to fish, the carp not giving up their secrets easily.

James I had a morning to spare and decided to get in a quick session.

It was cold, there were a few signs of carp activity but it seemed nothing was biting. The session was brought to life when James hooked into a fish with a good strong run. A few minutes later he banked a fine 18 lb 12 oz grass carp.

He was a very “Happy” man to say the least. Well done James !

This was the first carp banked together for the “carp crew” of the season.

CarpQuest 2014 was off and running !
