In this weeks episode of CarpQuest we were joined at the Fairgrounds by Roger, a carp angler over from the UK on vacation. Though he only had a few short hours, our mission was to see if we could help him catch his first mile-high common carp !
I arrived just before dawn to get the gear setup and ready for Roger’s arrival. Getting a few lines cast out quickly I was rewarded with a handful of quick catches, including a great 20 lb’er ! Andrew arrived mid-morning and was straight into the fish.
Roger made it to the lake later in the morning, though sadly the bite had turned off. With just an hour of fishing for him left, and after loosing a good fish earlier, he landed his first Colorado common carp. It was not a monster, but was still, a well deserved capture. Well done Roger!
Hope you enjoy
