In this weeks episode of CarpQuest we setup and fish at a different location at a favorite venue.
It is so easy to get caught in a rut. Using the same bait, the same rigs, the same tackle, never trying anything different. For me, that proverbial rut are the locations I choose to fish. Given the distances I have to drive, often the desire to just catch some fish, in familiar surroundings, outweighs trying a new lake, reservoir or spot.
On this session I made the decision to get off my lazy backside and fish a different spot at Chatfield Reservoir. I usually fish Roxborough, or Kingfisher, yet on such a large body of water there are plenty of other sections of shoreline to fish. I setup in Eagle Cove, on the the west side.
The decision was a good one and I was rewarded with almost half a dozen carp in but a few hours fishing, including a brace of commons from a double-run.
Hope you enjoy
